What is your name, do you have any nick names?

What was your goal when you originally signed up?
Better disease management with diet.
Why was this important? 
My Hemoglobin A1c and diabetes management was not healthy. My husband and I would also like to start a family.
How long had you had this goal? 
3+ years
What were the top 1-2 things that held you back from achieving your goal? 
Busy work schedule and not making myself a priority.
What had you tried to get to your goal before? 
Going to the gym.
How did you originally hear about us? 
BNI weekly meetings.
What originally prompted you to seek us out? 
Hearing will speak about the nutrition program.
At the time you enrolled, were you already exercising? What was your previous background in fitness?
Yes, I work out with a personal trainer 3x a week for the past 2yrs.
When you originally signed up what was your first goal? 
Lower my Hemoglobin A1c.
Where you more driven to solve a problem or achieve a goal? 
Yes, after 1 month I lowered my A1c by 1 whole point however, I still have a ways to go. Seeing positive changes so quickly was more than I could've ever imagined.
How were you feeling about your goals at that time you enrolled? 
I assumed it would be difficult but had nothing to lose.
Now that you achieved your goal, has your view of yourself changed? 
Completely. I feel happy, confident and most of all HEALTHY.
How do you feel about your future? 
Fully in charge! Excited I have my health in my hands again. Looking forward to having a chance to begin a family.
What have you liked best about working with us? 
I feel like HRCF deeply care about my well being. (Nutrition Coach) Sharon has been such an important part of this journey.
What challenges have you overcome and struggled with that kept you from progressing faster with your goals?  
I had a bad MS relapse that left me with severe muscle spasms and unable to workout for the entire month of December.
How did you overcome this challenge? 
Focused on eating healthy and getting rest while keeping a positive mental attitude.
What would you say to anyone else who might be dealing with a similar challenge or goal? 
Life is uncertain and has lots of curve balls. Having a goal is important to work towards but having a reason to work at that goal is necessary.
